Am I ready for help? I am usually okay handling things on my own or talking to my friends/family.
Have you ever asked yourself "Why do I feel like my family or friends are judging me? Why can't they just listen?" Everyone goes through life changes and challenges. We all have our way of coping with change and dealing with stressors, such as talking to friends and family members, religious institutions, etc. However, for some that may not be enough. Sometimes, it is good for you to talk or vent to an objective individual that can assist you in increasing your self awareness, emphasizing on your areas of strength and encouraging you to go at your own pace to meet your goal. Therapy can provide you with the opportunity to make a commitment to yourself so that when you reach your goal, you will know that you worked hard for it and earned it.
